Crina Ionescu



Crina Ionescu Călinescu was born on June 18, 1939, in Bucharest. She is a Romanian illustrator for children. She also created sculptures, advertising graphics, interior decorations and glass painting.

Education: Institute of Fine Arts "Nicolae Grigorescu" Bucharest, Prof. Joseph Molnar (1962).

Crina Ionescu remains a landmark in the history of children's book  trough the dozens of covers she illustrated for the famous collection "Povesti nemuritoare/Tales immortal".

Solo exhibitions: Italy (1970), Bucharest (1971, 1974).

Book fairs: Leipzig (1966), Belgrade (1969), Bratislava (1969), Bologna (1970, 1973).
