Anamaria Smigelschi was born in Bucharest on May 30, 1938, from a father of Polish origin and Italian mother. She graduated in 1961 from the Institute of Fine Arts "Nicolae Grigorescu" - graphics department. Her teachers were: Simon Iuca, Joseph Molnar, Vasile Kazar.
Activities: easel graphics, engraving, numerous collective and group exhibitions in the country and abroad, works in international biennial and triennial book fairs (Krakow, Warsaw, Varna, Ljubljana, Heidelberg, Friederichstadt, Baden-Baden, Sao-Paulo, Grado, Saint-Nicolas, Lahti, etc.), authored books for children (Luna Betiluna and Dora Minodora, Piponicon and Popinacon, etc.), countless covers and illustrations (children's literature and poetry) advertising graphics, artistic editor and design (illustrated magazines, catalogs, album art, flyers, commercial theater programs, posters (theater and film), tv shows: artistic or culinary, literature: short stories, travel notes).
