Jules Perahim, (24 May 1914, Bucuresti - 2 March 2008, Paris) was a Romanian painter of Jewish nationality, one of the most representative surrealist figure in Romania. He was a student of painters Nicolae Vermont and Costin Petrescu Perahim.
Together with Gherasim Luca was chief editor for the avant-garde magazines Unu (1930 - 1932) and Alge (1930 - 1933).
Perahim had his first solo exhibition in Bucharest, organized by Marcel Janco. Between 1936 and 1940, he was a regular contributor of socially engaged drawings in the progressive press.
Perahim lived in the Soviet Union during the WWII, returning with the Red Army and becoming a member of the new communist government. Eventually he moved to France and today is remembered mostly for his work in surrealism.
