"I'm a nostalgic type, and this is how my illustrations are, too. I adore old items, especially those connected to memories. To those I can get very attached. I love fairy tales, not only illustrate them, but also to read them. They impersonate a condensed wisdom of all the important things in our life: death, love, intrigue, deceit and loyalty. Among them, oddly enough, are the sad tales that are really close to me. These melancholic or rather heartbreaking stories written for example by Oscar Wilde or even Andersen, are among my favorites ever since I was a child."
